About Hawaii Preparatory Academy
Founded in 1949, HPA is an independent, coeducational boarding and day school for students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school is situated on more than 220 acres of land in the town of Waimea (Kamuela) on the island of Hawaii. A college preparatory school, HPA is committed to the development of character; the expansion of mind, body and spirit; and the assurance of a climate of academic excellence.
